Considering the “Mafia Migas” news in the media recently, where Supreme Energy mentioned as a part of "Global Energy Resources" group companies, PT Supreme Energy clarify that "Supreme Energy" name that stated in that news is not related with PT Supreme Energy that was founded on September 11, 2007.
PT Supreme Energy clarified that the company was only engaged in geothermal energy development, to generate electricity supplied to PT PLN (Persero). PT Supreme Energy was established by Bapak Supramu Santosa, and includes 3 (three) companies that are allocated to develop each Geothermal Working Area as follow:
- Supreme Energy Muara Laboh was founded on July 1, 2008, as the holder of Geothermal Working Areas business license of Liki Pinangawan Muaralaboh in South Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province.
- Supreme Energy Rajabasa was founded on July 1, 2008, as the holder of Geothermal Working Areas business license for Rajabasa in South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province; and
- Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap was founded on July1, 2008, as the holder of Geothermal Working Areas business license for Rantau Dedap in Muara Enim Regency, Lahat Regency and Pagar Alam City, South Sumatera Province.
In 2011 PT. Supreme Energy, was officially formed a consortium with partners and international shareholders, GDF SUEZ and Sumitomo Corporation as a shareholder of PT Supreme Energy Muara Laboh and PT Supreme Energy Rajabasa. In addition in the same year, together with GDF SUEZ and Marubeni Corporation as a shareholder of PT. Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap.
Supreme Energy does not have any relation with the Oil and Gas companies such as Pertamina Trading Energy Ltd (Petral) or other activities related to Oil and Gas industry. The three companies of PT Supreme Energy mentioned above, did not trade Oil and Gas commodity.
This clarification was made in order to avoid the possibility misunderstanding news coverage in the future.
